Facnor is a worldwide leader in designing and manufacturing furling systems. The company supplies many shipyards as well as ocean sailors who participate in well known races like the Vendée Globe, The Race and the Volvo Race, all sailing genuine "Formule 1" boats. Distribution wise, Facnor has developed a global network of dealers covering 35 countries.
Continuing innovation is the goal of the FACNOR Design Team which started in 1985 with the introduction of a new jib furler range featuring the patented telescopic section. Seven years later, FACNOR introduced the FACSLIDE® batten car system. This new system eliminated end stops on the cars and can fit on any type of mast.
In the beginning of 2011, Facnor officially received the Pittman awarf in the "Racing Gear" category for the FlatDeck Jib Furler Sail. This award is presented to the most innovative products available on the current market. The FlatDeck furling also received the 2012 Segeln Award in the "Sailing Equipment" category. This success is reflective of the standards Facnor continually strives to achieve.
80% of French yacht builders select FACNOR furlers for their new boats, which is proof of FACNOR’s high quality. Outside of France FACNOR continues to grow with an international network of 35 dealers, and is fast becoming the world standard for furling equipment.
